    We recently asked members of the BuzzFeed Community, "What's the one horror movie scene that never fails to disturb you, no matter how many times you've seen it?" and, WHEW BUDDY, their responses did not disappoint. Here are just a few of the most stomach-churning scenes listed:

    1. The "rewind" scene, Funny Games (1997)

I saw this movie when I was about 10, and the very first scene where the swimmer is tugged suddenly and violently under the water traumatized me. I was scared to death to swim in the ocean for years — it’s just too shocking and realistic. It’s been more than 25 years since I've seen that movie, and I still get paralyzed with fear thinking about it when I’m in the water!"

    19. The Black Phillip scene, The Witch (2015)

    "I love scary movies. It takes a lot for a scene to really stick with me. However, the scene at the end of this where the goat starts talking to the girl made me LOSE. MY. SHIT. I watched it with a group of college friends, and when he started speaking, our entire group lost it. We had 20-year-old guys screaming. I have shown that single scene to a few friends who had never seen the movie and had no context, and all three times they made me turn it off because it was too freaky."
