Brantford doubles as the ghost town in this psychological horror film, but Hamilton also makes an appearance. Hotel scenes were shot in James North’s Lister Block.

People eating people is a classic horror trope and one this Eliza Dushku vehicle revolves around. There are plenty of woodsy scenes shot in the Dundas and Webster’s Falls area.

This 2013 supernatural horror film based on the Argentine short film of the same name shot some scenes in Hamilton. Creepy kids in a forest, sign me up.
“Resident Evil: Apocalypse”

This is the second instalment in the popular sci-fi horror franchise based on a video game. If you’ve got a memory for cemeteries, you’ll recognize Hamilton in the graveyard scenes.

“Poltergeist”

The 2015 remake of this ‘80s horror classic spent some time on the west Mountain filming exterior scenes. Let’s be real though: the original is superior for the face-peeling scene alone.
Werewolves in Hamilton? Some filming for this 2007 action-horror flick took place at the very creepy Century Manor by St. Joseph’s West 5th Campus.
“Isabelle”

This truly bizarre-looking film from last year starring Adam Brody did some filming on George Street. Those iconic Victorian-style houses that populate the downtown are noticeable even in the movie trailer.

Jason Mewes in a role that isn’t Jay from Jay and Silent Bob? Who knew such a thing existed.
